NDIS Funding: Conditions and Limitations
Counselling through NDIS is funded within your NDIS plan. Important considerations include:
Sessions must align with your approved supports and goals in your plan
Counselling may be time-limited or capped based on your plan funding
Not all plans include funding for counselling — eligibility must be confirmed with your NDIS planner or support coordinator
Sessions are focused on emotional wellbeing and skill-building, not formal psychological assessments or diagnoses
Self-managed participants pay directly and are reimbursed by the NDIS, while plan-managed participants have their invoices sent to their Plan Manager
I may need to view all or relevant parts of your NDIS plan to ensure counselling sessions align with your approved supports and funding
I can work with you to ensure sessions fit your NDIS plan, but it is important to understand that funding and coverage may have limitations.
