About
Hi, I’m Darrell
I’m a qualified, registered counsellor based in Mandurah, WA, passionate about supporting people through life’s challenges with empathy, care, and understanding.
Why This Work Matters to Me
I know how difficult it can be to find someone you trust with your story — especially when the words and emotions don’t come easily. In the same way that I once needed a patient, compassionate counsellor, I now aim to provide that same care and support to my clients.

Who I Support
I work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing grief, trauma, relationship struggles, and mental health challenges. My practice offers a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to heal.
My Promise to You
I am committed to walking alongside you and, though counselling can sometimes feel challenging, you’ll always have my full attention, care, and support in the safety of my therapy space.

How my journey began

I emigrated from the UK to Perth in 2003, quickly getting involved in Community volunteering and embracing life as we prepared to welcome our first child.
Finding Purpose Through Loss
In 2004, our daughter Elizabeth was stillborn - a catastrophic experience that led me to volunteer as a peer mentor and telephone support worker with SIDS n Kids (now Red Nose). It was through this role and supporting other bereaved parents that inspired me to pursue counselling as a career.
Life, Family and Learning Along the Way
Despite experiencing 2 further miscarriages, over the years I balanced family, volunteering, and my work as a Marriage and Funeral Celebrant – all the while continuing to nurture my dream of becoming a counsellor.
